Commercial Umbrella Insurance

Umbrella Liability or Excess Liability provides additional coverage when the limits of insurance on an underlying policy cannot be increased. If your primary General Liability or Auto policy has a coverage limit of $1,000,000 ad a claim against you results in a loss of $1,500,000 an Umbrella or Excess Liability policy would respond to the loss incurred in excess of the primary limit of $1,000,000. Umbrella Liability or Excess Liability policies can provide coverage over General Liability, Hired and Non-owned Auto Liability or Fleet Auto, and Employer’s Liability.

The Commercial Umbrella liability policy requires that the insured maintain in force all underlying insurance policies without alteration of terms and conditions, during the term of the umbrella liability policy.
