Claims Examples
Liquor Liability – A minor was served alcohol at insured’s wedding reception. After leaving reception the minor got into his car, lost control of his vehicle and struck a telephone pole. Claimant suffered severe facial lacerations and sued the bride and groom and the banquet facility for illegal service to minor. Policy responded and paid medical bills of $275,000
General Liability – A local Chamber of Commerce held an arts and crafts festival. During the festival an attendee tripped over a broken barricade and suffered broken teeth and facial cuts that required stitches. She is seeking recovery from the Chamber of Commerce for her injuries as well as loss of wages. Her injuries currently total $225,000.
Host Liquor Liability – A guest was drinking heavily at a holiday party. While driving home she lost control of vehicle and hit a tractor trailer head on. The driver of the truck suffered severe injuries, and brought suit against the host of the party of negligence in serving the intoxicated guest. The driver’s injuries currently total $300,000.
